Football fans of all colours find themselves in the dreaded ‘festive fixture’ portion of the 2019/20 campaign and irrespective of what level your team plays at, all divisions look at this period of games as potential end of season deciders as teams step up and take charge, whilst others fall away and that doesn’t just apply to top of the table battles – some sides will find themselves cut adrift in the relegation zones.

The Christmas run of games are always special, albeit taxing on supporters given how quickly the matches come, and for those without a season ticket card, that brings additional pressures of its own.

All sides at all levels will be looking for all three points to set the next block of games up nicely and for those who fancy a flutter football betting online provides an almost endless stream of odds that might take your fancy if you want something else riding on particular fixtures.

This weekend is no different with some plum ties to pick and the Arsenal v Manchester City clash at the Emirates Stadium sees two sides who will be hoping Santa is kind to them this year given they find themselves off the pace in the top tier table and they won’t be alone in that.

This weekend may more officially start the glut of games to come for each side, and whilst this individual round of fixtures won’t in itself decide anything, come the New Year there will be plenty of sides who feel they have massively slipped up and lost their chance for another season.
